I realized...
|
|
You know what I just realized....
If you love someone, you should do everything you can to make that person happy. Whatever it may be.
It hit me hard today for some reason.

My Lie Of Calls
|
|
Full of what you feel right now.
Grab what you hold close, but how?
Walk up, hear what's not there.
Take your place among the rest.
But remember that there is always
a heart at home along with
a bright and early test.
Place the markings on the page.
The wetness is the only thing that
is keeping you from it's
destination and away from the cage.
Or just rip away the lines,
and move along to have
a world of calls.
My lie of calls.
My days of forgetful,
minimal, and seemingly
countless unrecognizable calls.
My lie of calls.

Music Mood: Muse - Absolution
February 14th, 2004
There's a knock at the door.
That's weird, not expecting anybody.
Open the door, nobody's there.
Look on the ground in front of the door.
A rose, and a piece of paper.
Info on Valentine's Day,
and a long stemed rose.
RA went all out with this one.
I didn't have a vase for the rose, so I put it in the fish bowl . Sorry, Kip & Darby. They are in fishy heaven, swimming in an sharkless/predator-less open sea along with all of the new friends they have made.
Cheers,
Matt

"Let the world change you....and you can change the world." - The Motorcycle Diaries
While watching "The Motorcycle Diaries", I saw a scene and I just had to write something down. I can't really explain the way I felt. So here it goes:
Closing Eyes
Let me inside the swift
touch you call your heart.
The overpowering wisdom
you call your past.
Why so helpless?
Why already gone?
I felt her crawl within me,
picking up the thoughts
I though so meaningless.
The cold bed, her eyes
look up towards an unfamiliar
yet comforting being.
Closing eyes, wandering soul.
Red potato eyes,
Slice of steak mouth,
and Gorgonza sauce.....drool??
I served this dish up today at work. I was getting pretty bored, so I thought I'd have a little fun. I placed three red potatoes on the plate and used them as eyes and a nose. Then I placed a slice of steak and used it as a mouth. The sauce was next. I really couldn't think of anything creative to do with the sauce, so I just put it on the steak the way I was supposed to . I let my fellow Western students use their imagination as to what the sauce was. Maybe the face's mouth was drooling? I really just did it for my enjoyment, but then people starting laughing. We ran out of potatoes near then end of the night, and I was given french fries. "Oh man, this is going to take some super creativity..." Yeah, the eyes turned into mean eyes, with the french fries slanting down. A mean, drooling face .
Don't forget the sauce,
Matt

Enjoy.
Dan: The world is coming to an end!
Chris: (girly voice)I still love you.
Dan: Don't ever say that again.
Chris: (Begins to play Modest Mouse's "Float On") Dan,.......just float on.
Dan's world is ending because he erased the hard drive on his computer on accident. Everything....documents, music, pictures, software, everything. And he did it trying to take off a virus. So sad.
Float on,
Matt

Happy Valentine's Day!
For those of you without a Valentine, I offer my love to thee.
(Sidenote: The Shakespearian word "thee" does not suggest romantic play from me. Just trying to be nice .)
Fun Facts about Valentine's Day
1. 73% of people who buy flowers for Valentine's Day are men, 27% are women.
2. About 3% of pet owners will give Valentine's gifts to their pets.
3. About 1 billion Valentine's Day cards are exchanged each year.
4. In order of popularity, Valentine's Day cards are given to: teachers, children, mothers, wives, sweethearts, Koko the gorilla.
5. Amnat Puttigo of Pattaya, Thailand, won a "Ripley's Believe It or Not" by holding his wife in his arms for 10 hours 49 minutes and 15 seconds in Valentine's Day Contest!
6.15% of all US women send themselves flowers.
7. Valentines is the second most popular day for men to buy cards (Mother's Day is number 1).
Once before we die,
we all need to try and
win back a love we've lost.
Anything beautiful
we've come across.

Movie Mood: Finding Neverland
My roomate was given tapes to listen to but he broke his walkman while trying to listen to one. So, he walks to some department on campus and this is what he comes back with. Wow. Haha, it's about as big as a laptop. So sad. But it works.
Don't ever give up.
It's never too late,
Matt

Me & My Muffin
|
|
Music Mood: Rufus, Rooney, and a little bit of Cutie.
Mmmmmmm, good.
I had one of my ginormous blueberry muffins tonight. Was very good. Beforing eating it, I plucked one of the blueberries from atop the muffin and ate it. I have to say that I like the taste of the blueberry a lot better when it is inside the muffin. The berry itself does not do the trick for me.
I put my artistic abilities to the test today. Hadn't done that in a while.
