Music Mood: Imagining the kind of sound this beauty can create.

Only in my sweetest, "I don't want to wake up!" dreams.
Oh sweet $100,000 Martin D-100 Deluxe come lay with me.

I went to Manna Music today to get new strings for my guitar. A new set of strings is like a changing a diaper. First it's dirty/nasty, and you don't want to take the time to change it, but you know you have to, and when it's all done you're grateful.

Thanks Matt... for your comments.... I love that sunset shot as well. I took the shot at Krabi Thailand, 2 days before the Tsunami hit that very shore.. Guessed I managed to capture the beauty before the beast rolled in... Mon 24-Jan-2005 17:17

I broke my first string thursday night!! I guess I was rockin' too hard. I do rock kinda hard. Alright, I wasn't rockin' like Jimi Hendrix at Madison Square Garden. I lied, I'm sorry . Heh. No, I was just tuning the 6th string and PING!!! So I have to go downtown this weekend and find some strings. I'm pretty sure you can't buy individual strings. Need to buy a full set just in case I rock out too hard, and break all my strings at the same time!

aw, the glamour shot is too cute.
i recognize that smile of yours

Music Mood: Garden State Soundtrack

Wow, January is almost over! Well, sort of.

I woke up this morning and for some reason I was kinda down-and-out and I had no clue why. Took a shower, started getting ready for my first class. Still had the same sad feeling:frown:. I was like "what going on? Cheer up Matt." Went to the mirror to situate my hair, and it hit me. I had a dream. I had a dream that my sister buzzed my hair off while I was at home. Ahhhhhh ! From what I remember I was just standing watching tv or something and she came up from behind me and buzzed some of my hair off. I was pissed/devistated/sad/ready for payback. So I woke up this morning and I guess the feeling carried over, weird, I know. It's happened to me before, but I've always remember the dream right when I wake up. But don't worry, my hair is doing great, still attached to my head . Unless this is a dream, and someone is sneaking up behind me right now about to buzz me. If so, that person better be prepared to defend themself.

I bought a little Memo notepad the other day. It's purpose is to help me remember things, basically. Heh. It's name is Jimmy(explained further on). Throughout the day, I write down things such as song ideas(have a good list going), interesting topics to talk about here on this fotopage, and just basic things I have to do or get done. So far, it's serving its purpose greatly.

Irish-English
- Jammy means Lucky
- Perishing means Freezing.
- Snappers means Baby;child

While I was in Arizona for Thanksgiving I met my cousin's husband, Nigel, who is from Ireland. He's from Ireland, grew up mainly in England, but has an Australian accent. Amazing. One of the coolest guys I've ever met, seriously. He lives in Alabama, and before we left he said "Hey, if you're passing through Alabama, you're welcome at our house anytime or if you just need a place to crash for the night." I'm pretty sure I wont be passing through Alabama anytime soon, but the offer and the thought of saying that was great. One of the days there, Helena(my 10 year old crazy cousin) and I were talking to him about random stuff and he said that in Ireland instead of saying "Hey man" or if your'e referring to someone because you don't know they're name you'd just call them Jimmy. You'd say something like "Hey Jimmy" or "Look at that Jimmy over there" or "I think that Jimmy just pissed his pants". You know, stuff like that. The rest of the break in Thanksgiving Helena would say "Hey Jimmy" to me. But she'd try and say it with an Irish accent. So she'd say "Hey Jim-meh". I couldn't help but laugh.

My professor was talking about altitude and it's relation with different populations throughout the world today. She brought up an interesting topic. She said that it is much harder to get pregnant if you live in high elevation (7000ft+) such as a mountian compared to getting pregnant on the beach . Hmmmmm. Jeez, I guess no sex on the beach for me. Unless I'm a married man, and we're looking to have kids. Off to the beach!

Neal wasn't supposed to give Nicholas caffeine before going to bed, but one night he snuck him some Pepsi without his mom knowing. And wow, this baby turned into Superbaby! He started running around like crazy, doing flips over people who were laying on the ground. Neal was like "Uh-oh?!?" Nicholas would run back to Neal and jump in one spot waiting for more Pepsi. The craziness eventually wore out.

See you my dreams .

The Beginning: A Look Into My Mind

Music Mood: The Pale - Gravity Gets Things Done

I have a bad memory.

I don't know why, don't ask me why. The perfect example happened this afternoon in choir. The choir director told us to introduce ourselves to three people that we sit by. So, I'm like alright. Look around, I see a guy coming my way, stick out the ol' hand. "Hey, my name is Matt." He responds with his name. Second guy, "Hey, my name...". Third guy, "Hey, my name is...". Walk back to my chair, sit down. "Ahhhhh shit, what were they're names?!?!" I don't think that's an example of a bad memory, I think it's an example of a horrible memory. I think I just get so caught up in the moment of meeting the person that I don't even hear they're name. I just shake they're hand, make eye contact and we're done.

I only have a bad memory for certain things though. I make a lot of lists, have alarms on my cell phone, write things down. I guess I'm one of those people that never forgets a face, but I will forget your name in a second. No literally, a second. I never forget a face even if I've never formally met the person. You know those people that you see around. You don't really KNOW them, but you get used to seeing there face, and you could recognize them years later.

I'm a quiet..no, shy...no. I'm a guy that hates it when people say "You're quiet" when they've known you for a short period.

I've heard it from my family, friends, relatives. People don't have to put a marker on me as "The Quiet Guy" as soon as or soon after they meet me. Just because you talk every living second of your life doesn't mean I'm going to stop all conversation and say "You're loud". Although that would be very funny, and I would love it. Oh man, I would love it.But anyway. It used to be that I would automatically dislike the person if they said something like that to me, but I've been a little nicer I guess you could say.

I like wearing beenies. They save you from an occasional, not bad, but quite interesting hair day. My hair has become a being all on its own. I love my hair, but some days I wake up, look in the mirror and think "wow, how did my hair do that?" So beenies save me from, well they don't really save me from embarassment, because I could care less what people think, but, back to the original statement. I like wearing beenies. Plus, I'm not really a hat person.

Done with my first entry!

i forget names too.
fear not, dear friend, for you are not alone!

Hmmm, I work for Sodexho. Tried the journal thing, turned into my "Song Book".

I think I may try and turn this thing into a Fotopage/Journal. Emphasis on TRY. We'll see.

Peace and Quiet

So, i went to the library to write a song. I've been having the erge to write a song, but I can't really write without peace and quiet. So I though, hmmm maybe I'll go outside and write. Walked outside, felt the cold wind. And no. Thought of the next best place. The Library. Nice and quiet. And this is what developed:

"No Goodbyes"
The past is cloudy, I'm sure.
Makes me wonder if this is pure.
How could a kiss
open what had been stored away.
I catch myself thinking of how you may not stay.

The time passes, dragging on so slowly.
Missing an important part, but not so lonely.
The smell, found traces left behind.
If this is all, it's okay, it's just not the right time.

CHORUS:
The right time.
Who see's it, and who decides?
We both can't seem to make up our own minds.
If it's soon, don't be shy.
If it's not, no goodbyes.
What can I do but wait for the right time?

I couldn't fall asleep that night.
All I wanted was to hold you tight.
When you left, it seemed unreal.
Like I'd see you again, before it made me feel.

CHORUS

It's been a while since I've seen you now,
One whole week, I'll have to make it somehow, somehow.

CHORUS x2
