"Cover My Mouth"

Yeah, that's right!

Music Mood: The Killers - Hot Fuss
I finished up my CD "Cover My mouth" a couple of weeks ago. It feels great just to be able to put my voice out there, and express my feelings and thoughts through, well, 2 songs. Heh. The CD is comprised of 12 songs, 2 orginial songs, and 10 cover songs. The only downer is that the software that I used was a demo, so I was only able to record 2 minutes per song. Well, the good news is that I have better software now, that allows me to record a full song. I already started progress on my next CD. I definitely raising the bar, uping the anty, pushing my self to the limits with this next CD.

College Time!

Comedic Mood: Dane Cook, check him out at http://www.danecook.com
Wow, I haven't updated this thing in a long time. Well, it's been a great new week being back up at WWU. Classes.....eh. Some of my suitemates and I talked about how life would be great if we didn't have any classes at all. Just a place to live so you can transition yourself into the real world, meet a lot of people. It would be the life.
Sorry, these pictures aren't very photographic like. Don't get much time to go around and take pictures. I need to make time though, to keep me sane. I will put some up.

Random Pictures

Music Mood: Jason Mraz - "Live at the Eagle Ballroom"
I haven't taken been taking a lot of pictures lately, so I just put up some old pictures that I haven't put on the site.
2 weeks and counting until 2nd year at WWU!!
So, I've been working on recording some cover songs. Mostly of Howie Day and some other artists. Also, working on a couple of my own songs, trying to put the pieces together. I wish I had better recording software though. I can only mix a maximum of 2 minutes of recorded material, so the songs are pretty short. That's the only downside, well, plus the obvious downside out not having a studio to record in, but the comfort of my own room will do fine . Hope to finish 16 songs before school and put them on a CD. I have 6 finished so far, so....(crossing fingers).
Random Fact: The longest recorded flight of a chicken is 13 seconds.

Trip to Seaside & Cannon Beach
|
|
Music Mood: Keane - "Hopes and Fears"
Just got back from a little two day trip to Seaside and Cannon Beach, Oregon with the family. It was pretty fun. Seaside was pretty cool. The beach at Seaside was the end of the trail for the travelers Lewis and Clark, so the nerd geekazoid in me found that interesting. While at Seaside I saw a lot of "Tsunami Evacuation Route" signs. It's gotta suck knowing that your nice beach house could be swallow by a gigantic tsunami in a horrible storm. Good luck guys. We also went the Seaside Aquarium and fed the baby seals. At least I think they were baby seals. They were pretty funny. To catch your attention and give them food the seals would pat themselves on the stomach really fast. Some were older than others. The older ones would try and take away the food from the smallers babies. It was fun. Cannon Beach was very nice. Haystack Rock is in Cannon Beach. It is interesting how it just comes up out of the ground. But such is nature, I guess. The sunset was awesome. I was behind Haystack Rock for a while, so I was blocked from the sun and I almost missed the sunset. But, I got it.

A Little Stroll
|
|
Music Mood: Sleeping At Last - "Ghosts"
I went for a little stroll around my neighborhood today. Just walking around seeing if I could take some interesting pictures. While I was walking one of those "Flying Thingys" came right towards me. I have no idea what they are called. I made a wish, took a picture, let it fly, and continued on. I wasn't finding very many things to take pictures of, so I decided to take pictures of myself. Yes, myself. Thankfully, I found more stuff to take pictures of.

Nothing But Pretty
|
|
Music Mood: A Friend (don't want to embarrass)
Have you ever just stopped what you were doing to think about everything? And I mean everything. You don't even have to be doing anything, you just STOP and think about things. I know I'm not the only one, but I've noticed that I do it a lot. I don't think of it as a bad thing, it's a great thing. Just to stop, with no stress, no problems and think about things. I find myself about different stuff. Like, no matter how bad you think things are, you can't let it get the best of you. Also, I've found myself thinking about how we each seem so small compared to the "idea of life", but we play such a important part in the lives of the people we know and probably people that we do not even know. Could I have played a small part in someone's life while living in Germany/Texas..... to make an impact on their life? I encourage these slight pauses in our everyday lives. Man, I may make these into lyrics. Awesome, Heh.
I'll miss ya, even though it's not long at all.

String Fingers

Music Mood: Howie Day - Australia
As you can see I was in the picture taking vibe today. Took pictures of a lot of different stuff in my house.
I went to Barnes and Noble yesterday and got two books. One is called The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. I'll give you the synopsis- Chris Boone knows all the countries of the world and their capitals and every prime number up to 7,057. He relates well to animals but has no understanding of human emotions. He cannot stand to be touched. And he detests the color yellow. This improbable story of Chris's quest to investigate the suspicious death of a neighborhood dog makes for one of the most captivating, unusual, and widely heralded novels in recent years. It is very interesting so far.
The other book is called Blindness. It is about an incident in a large city that causes many people to become blind. They are sent to an abandoned mental hospital, and the weird events that occur. It seems very similar to Catcher in the Rye, and that type of writing. Which is good, because Catcher is a great book. I suggest that book to anyone.

Just a Thought
|
|
So, I don't really have any pictures to go along with this entry. But I've been thinking about something. I was in a conversation with a friend and we came upon the topic of past lives. Why don't we have past lives and remember things? I've been thinking about this on and off for the past couple of days.
If we were to remember our past lives, how would we live out our lives? We would have little to look foward to. All of our memories would be filled the with these images of another person. Stick with me, I may be sounding crazy, but stick with me. Maybe I am crazy . Oh well, if I am. Continuing on, if we did have this past life memory, some of the events in our lives would become less significant. (Not to be really cheesy, but...) How would the emotion of you first kiss be if you had already experianced it? Or the first time you are overcome with happiness. Or any "first", for that matter. The anticipation and excitement would be lessened or not there at all. Part of life is waiting for those moments to happen, no matter what they are.
Well that's it, I hope it makes sense.

Possessed Machinery
|
|
 |
|
Ummm...??
|
|
|
I'm bringing these pictures to you courtesy of www.jasonmraz.com. I was looking through the pictures that he has taking, and found some interesting ones.
"THIS BOOK WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE" has obviously found it's way into his hands. If you never heard of it. It is very interesting. It is a full year commitment or disaster, either one. Each day the book has a specific task for you to do. For example, I think one day it says to make sure you were not adopted. Another day, you cannot speak at all. Another day, you must pick up a new hobby. Another, propose to a complete stranger. Another, discretly give the finger to everyone you meet. Another, you must apply for knighthood. The list goes on and on.
You must WATCH OUT for the possessed machinery. That's all about that.
And, what it with the EXIT sign near the ground? Is there some chute that you must crawl into and slide down? Maybe they forgot a ladder. It's a mystery.

Mariner/Yankee Game
|
|
So I went to the Mariners vs. Yankees game today. I, of course, was going for the Yankees. If the Mariners were going against anybody else I would have been pulling for them. But the Yanks were in town and my pops is from New York, so I had to go for the Yanks. Everything was going pretty smoothly with NY up 3-1, until the 7th inning when the Mariners went on a hitting frezy. 6 runs!! It was basically over after that. The Yankees were going through pitcher after pitcher, but nothing was working. Besides the loss, it was a really good game.
While we were walking out of Safeco Field, some druken Mariniers fan was constantly yelling "Yankees suck, Yankees suck." Then he spotted us, and decided to enrage his happy drukenness on me, my dad, and my brother. Yelling right at us, "Yankees suck, Yankees suck." I hate sore winners. Gloating/Yelling right at us. Don't understand.
The thing that really sucks is that out of the two M's vs. Yanks games that we've gone to this year the yankees have lost both times. And in each series the the yankees won all of the other games. Everytime we go, the yankees lose. And when we are not there they win. Why??
