Zoo & Aquarium
|
|
So me, my dad and my brother all went to the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium. We rarely do things together, so we thought we'd go out and do something for a change. I hadn't been to a zoo in a very very long time, so it was pretty cool. There were a wide variety of animals at the zoo. From elephants to seahorses. Flash photography wasn't allowed inside of the aquarium, so most of the pictures that I took didn't turn out too great. But all of the others turned out great.
The first thing we saw were the elephants. I had never seen an elephant before, it was huge. But then I heard someone say that the one we were looking at was only a baby elephant. I was surprised at the size. We walked a lot seeing different things: a type of monkey(can't remember), Siberian Tiger(couldn't take a picture because he/she was taking a nap behind a tree), Sea otters, a Walrus who like swimming upside down, Puffins, a baby Lynx, Peguins, and Polar Bears(most exciting).
The Polar Bears were awesome. At first they were just swimming around minding each others business. But then something happened, I don't know what, and they both started a little roughhousing. You would have thought that they were out to kill eachother. One bear would push the other into the water, bite eachother. Then they would rest for a little bit, and then go right back at eachother. Definitely the most exciting thing at the zoo.

Tolmie State Park
|
|
So I went to Tolmie State Park yesterday. I didn't have much to do, so I told myself "why not?" Went over there, it is about 5 minutes from my house, so it didn't take very long. I was hoping to just chill there take some pictures, maybe even write a couple of songs. I took pictures, but there were so many people there I wasn't able to chill and focus on songwriting. Oh well.
Most of the pictures that I took are normal, just pictures of the park, different stuff. But then towards the end, I hit the jackpot. I was walking up to this huge tree stump and looked normal walking towards it. But when I looked at it from the side, it looked very different. The tree looked like it was giving me the finger! I had to take a picture of it. That was something.
I also bought a new guitar online yesterday. I should get it sometime within the next couple of days. It is definitely better than my other guitar. I think any guitar is better than my other guitar. The tone is bad, it is small, it is always out of tune. Thank goodness, for a new guitar.

Drive around Olympia
|
|
So Chris came down from Redmond today. We had a good time. Took my digital camera with me to document any unusual things, and boy did I find some.
We first went to Capital Mall and saw the movie "Anchorman" with Will Ferrell. But before the movie we wandered around looking at different stuff. Even before entering the mall I remember that I had wanted to take a picture of something that had surprised me the last time I was there. A parking spot for women that are "expecting". I didn't know what to think. I suppose it is a good thing. Very very odd, though.
We walked around inside and ended up in The Bon smelling different kinds of cologne. By the end, our fingers smelled like all many different musks, most of which did not smell very good. While in the store I saw something I had never seen before, The Bon h2o. Now can somebody tell me why The Bon has their own bottled water, somebody, anybody?? Didn't think so. Before entering the movie we each donated a dollar to the "Stars of Hope", because we were in a giving mood, and it was just the right thing to do.
Anyways, so we saw the movie. Will Ferrell is usually hilarious and this was no exception. It is just one big goofball movie. Very funny. At one point in the movie Ron Burgundy tells a woman " I will punch you in the overies, straight shot." That was one of the funniest parts for me. After the movie we headed over to my high school and I drove around showing Chris the school. As we left, Chris noticed that the "board in front of the school", I'm calling it that because I don't know the name of it, had a message on it that is usually shown on elementary schools. Seriously, why put that on there? Is it really going to help? I don't think so. I can just hear the giggles from the little elementary kids as they pass the high school. "Look daddy, high schoolers can't read." Damn kids. And that's the way I'm ending it.
Damn kids.

Happy and Sad
|
|
So I finally got my digital camera a couple of days ago. Decided to take some pictures of my dog, Bo-jangles. I will definitely be sharing more pictures that I take as I write in this photo journal.
Work wasn't that great today. I got a pretty good amount of tips, but lost $10 because of one guy. I delivered to this house, this guy walks out and says that it has been an hour and a half to two hours since he had ordered his pizza. He said he called Godfather's, talked to them about it, and they took off $10 from the original price. Original price=$35, so he hands me $25. I'm thinking alright he must be telling the truth. He wouldn't just straight up lie to me like that. BUT NO! I go back to Godfather's and ask the manager if she took off 10 bucks, and she says no. She never did that. So, I end up paying for the $10, and it comes out of my tips. Why are there people of there like this? Lying, for pizza?!? Very, very sad.

The Beginning

So.....5 minutes until July 5th and I thought I'd start up a online site. I'm going to get a digital camera soon, so I'll be able to share pictures. Well, that's it for now. This picture is New York City, my home away from home, well...sort of.
